About this venue
8 outdoor pickleball courts in the southern portion of Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Athletic Park. Funded via 0.5% local option sales tax approved by Monticello voters November 2024. Also awarded $254,170 Minnesota DNR Outdoor Recreation Grant (2025). Construction bid process opened April 2026; contract award April 2026; construction anticipated summer 2026; completion deadline December 31, 2027. Courts will include bituminous playing surface with acrylic coating, fencing, shade structures, trail connections, parking, and landscaping. Parks Director: Tom Pawelk.
