Pickleball Courts in Northbrook, IL

Northbrook has more dedicated pickleball infrastructure than most suburbs its size, split between one very large private club and a solid public system. Life Time's North Shore Sport & Racquet, a 114,000-square-foot athletic club, has 28 pickleball courts — 19 indoor, 10 outdoor — making it one of the largest single facilities in the area, membership required. Slate Pickleball Club is a newer, smaller upscale indoor club (about 16,000 square feet, opened 2024, air-conditioned) aimed specifically at pickleball rather than general fitness. On the public side, the Northbrook Park District's free option is Stonegate Park, which got six dedicated outdoor courts in 2019 — the oldest purpose-built courts in town — while Williamsburg Square and Wood Oaks Green still just have lines painted on existing tennis courts, unlit and first-come-first-served. The park district also runs indoor pickleball at Greenbriar Gym and Techny Prairie Activity Center, both scheduled and paid rather than free drop-in.
