Pickleball Courts in Lincoln, RI

Lincoln's pickleball capacity roughly doubled in 2025. The town built 9 new outdoor courts at Fairlawn Playground — funded through an RFP process and converted from a former basketball/skating area — after previously applying for grant money specifically for this project. Around the same time, the MacColl YMCA (YMCA of Pawtucket) added 6 outdoor lit courts near its renovated pool, on top of the 3 indoor wood courts it already ran; YMCA membership is required for both, with no reservations needed. Before Fairlawn opened, informal free pickleball happened at Lime Acres Park, played on courts originally built for parking-lot use rather than as dedicated pickleball space. Old Fairlawn Park and the indoor PE Center at Lincoln High School round out the list, though neither has published details yet. The net effect: Lincoln went from ad hoc courts to a purpose-built public facility in about a year.
