Former tennis courts at the Fort Bragg Unified School District's Middle School were converted for pickleball; an official Fort Bragg City Council agenda item (Oct. 24, 2022, Item 8B) documents a City/school-district-funded $45,000 project converting two tennis courts here to pickleball, and a Mendocino Voice news piece (Aug. 2023) reports the new courts subsequently opened for play. Design called for 8 courts per the council document, but the as-built count is unconfirmed from a primary source so left null. Play is reported open to the public outside school hours.
