Plenty of sites will hand you a confident number for your racket model. We won’t, because there is no published authority for it — no governing body specifies string tension, and the manufacturers publish a range precisely because the right point inside it depends on the player. So the tool asks you for that range and positions you within it: lower third for power and comfort, middle for balance, upper third for control, then shifted down for beginners and for anyone nursing an arm. It clamps the result to your range and shows its working.
The direction of the effect is well established — the USTA’s own guidance is to string tighter for control — but the size of it is often oversold. Padel rackets have no strings. A padel racket is a solid core — EVA or polyethylene foam — sandwiched between two faces, with holes drilled through it, so there is nothing to tension and no stringer involved. The levers you actually have in padel are core hardness (soft for comfort and control, hard for power), face material, shape and balance, and the grip. Anyone quoting a padel string tension has confused it with tennis.

On a tennis frame it is usually stamped inside the throat, as something like "50–60 lbs / 23–27 kg". On a badminton racket it is normally printed on the shaft or the throat as stringing advice with a maximum. Stringing above that maximum risks the frame and can void the warranty.

What you can adjust is the core hardness, the face material and the balance, plus the grip and overgrips. If somebody quotes you a padel string tension, they are describing a different sport.
The old rule of thumb is to restring as many times a year as you play per week. It is a rule of thumb, not a measurement — strings lose tension continuously from the moment they come off the machine, and badminton strings lose it fast, so a bed that feels dead is usually old rather than badly chosen.
