Short answer: The largest pickleball club chain in the US is The Picklr, with 74 verified open locations in 27 states and 756 courts. Three chains follow at around 30 locations each: Pickleball Kingdom (31 locations, 19 states), Ace Pickleball Club (30, 19 states) and Dill Dinkers (30, 13 states). Together, the 14 chains in this study run 198 of the 735 verified indoor pickleball clubs in our directory (27%) and 31% of their courts.
A quarter of America's indoor pickleball clubs now carry a chain brand. This is the count, built from The Court Scout's verified venue records as of 28 October 2026.

"Verified locations" counts open locations whose details we have confirmed against the chain's own location page or the venue's Google Business Profile. A chain can have more open sites than we have verified yet, and locations announced but not open are excluded.
What sets each chain apart
The Picklr is the scale player: 74 locations, every one an indoor club, with a median of 10 courts. Its pricing is the most uniform in the industry. 71 of the 74 location records list monthly plans, and the entry "Play" plan has a median of $89 a month, with an unlimited adult plan above it and a 15-day trial (usually $30). Several locations note that membership includes access to every Picklr location nationwide. Find one through the Texas, Utah or Illinois hubs, where it has the most sites.
Pickleball Kingdom builds bigger clubs: a median of 13 courts per site, the most of the four large chains, and 401 courts across 31 locations. Location records describe memberships with open play and court reservations included rather than charged per booking, and some sites (Nashville North in Hendersonville) let non-members play open sessions for $5.
Ace Pickleball Club bills memberships every four weeks at many locations, in tiers such as Essential, Core, Elite and Unlimited. At the Grand Rapids club those run from $29 to $99. 26 of its 30 verified sites publish a court count, with a median of 12.
Dill Dinkers is the regional heavyweight of the Mid-Atlantic: 9 of its 30 locations are in Maryland. Its model is pay-as-you-go by the person and hour, with member and visitor rates. At the Atlanta West End club members pay $7.50 per person per hour and visitors $15, and the Plano, Texas club lists open play at $5 to $7.50 a session.
Chicken N Pickle is the outlier: an entertainment venue rather than a club, with a restaurant and bar beside 10 or so courts, all 13 sites listed with both indoor and outdoor courts. You rent a court by the hour rather than join.
PickleRage runs tiered memberships (Pro, Premium, Elite) where the higher tier lowers or removes court fees. At New Rochelle, New York, the $79 Pro plan pays $40 an hour for courts, Premium at $129 pays $30, and Elite at $199 books courts free.
The city chains. Big City Pickle (5 sites, all Chicago), The Kitchen Pickleball (6, all northern Utah), Center Court (3, Phoenix area) and SPORTIME (4, New York and New Jersey) are dense in one metro rather than national. Court 16 runs smaller boutique sites in New York City, Philadelphia and Newton, Massachusetts, with some of the highest court rates we have recorded ($110 an hour peak in Long Island City).
What about Life Time?
Life Time is a gym and athletic-club chain rather than a pickleball chain, but it is now one of the biggest providers of indoor courts. We list 153 verified Life Time locations with pickleball in 30 states. Only 30 of them publish a court count, so we cannot total its courts. Court access requires a Life Time membership, and pickleball runs in scheduled windows even at clubs that are open 24 hours (see our 24-hour pickleball guide).
Chains vs independents
| Chain clubs (14 chains) | All verified indoor clubs | |
|---|---|---|
| Locations | 198 | 735 |
| Courts (published) | 2,087 | 6,626 |
| Share of locations | 27% | 100% |
| Share of courts | 31% | 100% |
Chain sites are larger than the typical independent: a median of 11 courts against 8 (among indoor clubs that publish a count), which is why their share of courts (31%) is higher than their share of locations (27%). The other 537 verified indoor clubs are independents or single-market operators. Our indoor pickleball guide covers how drop-in, reservations and memberships work at both, and the pickleball cost study compares their prices with parks and rec centers.

Methodology
- Source. The Court Scout venue database (
data/courts.json), 28 October 2026: open, verified US pickleball venues. Verified means the location's details were confirmed against the operator's own site or the venue's Google Business Profile (how we verify). - Chains. A chain is a brand with at least three verified US pickleball locations. Locations were matched by brand name and checked by hand. Life Time is reported separately because it is a general athletic-club chain.
- Courts are summed only where a location publishes its court count; the number of sites with a count is given where it is not every site.
- Indoor clubs are venues of type "club" listed as indoor or indoor and outdoor.
- Prices are quoted from each location's published rates as recorded on its venue page. They vary by location and change often, so check the club before joining.
