Pool play into a seeded playoff — the way most club and rec pickleball events run — or a straight single or double elimination bracket. Enter teams, or a list of players and let it draw random partners. Scores move teams through the bracket on their own.
Scoring rules on this page are summarised from the documents above. The tool itself accepts any score, so house rules work too.
For a club or rec event, pool play followed by a playoff is the most popular: every team is guaranteed several games in its pool, and the top teams from each pool go into a short single-elimination bracket. Double elimination is common in sanctioned events because it guarantees at least two matches. Pick round robin above, then build the playoff when the pools finish.
Games are normally played to 11 points, win by 2. The USA Pickleball rulebook allows tournament games to 15 or 21 (also win by 2), and medal matches are often best two out of three games to 11. Choose best of 1 or best of 3 above and enter each game’s score.
Yes. List individual players, set Doubles entries to random partners, and the tool draws teams before seeding. You need an even number of players.
By matches won, then games won minus games lost (when you play best of three), then point differential, then points scored. Those are the tie-breaks most pickleball pool-play events use after wins.
